Obituary

In the quiet corners of our hearts, where memories linger like the soft glow of twilight, we gather to remember Milo Cummings, whose spirit took flight on November 18, 2025. Milo was not just a pet; he was a burst of vivacity, a flicker of warmth that ignited joy in our lives from the moment he entered our home at the tender age of six weeks. A gift wrapped in orange fur, he was lovingly bestowed upon his human mother's heart on a Mother’s Day filled with promise. Yet, in a delightful twist of fate, he claimed Buddy, our noble black German Shepherd, as his confidant and compatriot.

Together with Shadow, our sleek black feline who now roams eternally in the soft pastures of memory, these three intrepid companions forged an indelible bond, resembling the legendary trio of musketeers. They gallantly ventured through our days, their playful antics and profound camaraderie painting a picture of unbridled happiness.

Milo’s small frame held a world of exuberance; he transformed simple moments into grand adventures. A yellow fetch ball, adorned with the delicate jingle of a bell within, became the centerpiece of countless cherished afternoons. The instant that delightful sound pierced the air, Milo would come bounding forward, eyes gleaming with mischief and excitement, eager to reclaim his treasure, dropping it at our feet—a silent plea for yet another jubilant throw.

His voice was a symphony of endearment; when he was in search of his beloved “Mom,” he would emit crooning cries that echoed with unmistakable affection. Should his call be met with silence, he would charmingly assert himself with a cheerful “Hello,” a subtle reminder of his unwavering presence and need for companionship. Milo possessed an effervescent personality that danced around our lives, leaving a trail of joy and laughter interwoven with the warmth of his ginger coat.

Milo now joins the ranks of his dear siblings who have ventured beyond—Buddy, the brave GSD, and Shadow, the alluring cat. They share a bond not just of memory, but of spirit. Yet, his legacy continues through his lively remaining brothers and sisters—Lucky, Cuddles, Kit Kat, Luna, Sylvester, Skadi (the Husky), and his devoted human brother, Crow Masters, who will forever cherish the joyous moments they shared. Of course, his devoted mommy will carry him in her heart, a testament to the love that transcends loss.

Milo Cummings may have left this earthly realm, but his star shines brightly in the tapestry of our lives, a vibrant reminder of the laughter, the joy, and the unconditional love that animals gift us. In our memories, he forever remains that little ginger spark—a true spirit who taught us the exquisite art of living fully in the moment.
