Winnie was truly a one-of-a-kind cat. Wherever her person went throughout the house, Winnie was never far behind. She had a way of making sure she was always close, whether demanding to be carried around the house, joining in for a quick walk through the yard, or simply curling up in her person’s arms, where she would melt into a puddle and purr up a storm.

When she wasn’t being carried or curled up on a lap during school and, later, work, Winnie could almost always be found nestled beside her person’s head or somehow managing to sleep directly on their face. She had a personality all her own and was never shy about letting her opinions be known.

But Winnie was so much more than a beloved pet. She was a constant companion, a source of comfort, and a reason to keep going through some of the darkest moments. Without ever knowing it, Winnie helped her person through times when the world felt unbearably heavy. The companionship, unconditional love, and quiet presence she gave will never be forgotten.

There is so much gratitude for the years shared, the memories created, and the love that will continue long after her passing. And while there may be regret that Winnie had to wait a little while, there is hope that someday they will be reunited and Winnie will once again have the opportunity to yell at her person all she wants.

I love you so much, Winnie. Thank you for keeping me going, for loving me in your own special way, and for being my one-of-a-kind girl. You will never be forgotten.
