Aquamation Packages
Thoughtful Aquamation Options for Every Family
Aquamation is a gentle, water-based alternative to traditional pet cremation. This eco-friendly process uses warm water and natural alkalinity to return your pet’s body to the earth in a peaceful and respectful way. Families choose aquamation for its softness, sustainability, and the ability to create meaningful memorials.

Private Aquamation
Tranquil Tides
A fully private aquamation experience for your beloved companion.
During a private aquamation, your pet is placed in their own individual basket and is the only pet in the system. This ensures complete separation and the highest level of individualized care

Semi-Private Aquamation
Kindred Current
Respectful separation with a more accessible option.
Each pet is placed in their own individual basket within the system. While multiple pets may be present during the cycle, they are never comingled, and families receive only their pet’s remains.

Communal Aquamation
Circle of Waves
A shared, meaningful return to the earth.
In communal aquamation, pets are placed together and respectfully processed. Remains are not returned but are instead incorporated into soil used for local tree-planting initiatives—creating a living legacy in your pet’s honor.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is pet aquamation?
Aquamation (also known as alkaline hydrolysis) is a gentle, water-based alternative to flame cremation. It uses warm water and natural processes to return your pet’s body to its natural elements in a peaceful, environmentally friendly way.
Is aquamation better than cremation?
Many families choose aquamation because it is more eco-friendly, produces no harmful emissions, and is considered a softer, more natural process.
Do I have to go through my veterinarian?
No. Aspen Meadows provides direct pet aftercare services to families throughout Clarks Summit, Scranton, and NEPA. You can contact us directly to make arrangements or schedule a consultation.
Will I receive my pet’s remains?
Yes. When selecting private or semi-private aquamation, you will receive only your pet’s remains. Communal aquamation does not include return of remains.
How long does the process take?

Honoring the Love That Started It All
IN MEMORY OF CHASE
At Aspen Meadows, every companion we serve leaves an imprint on our hearts, and Chase will always hold a special place in ours. As the very first pet entrusted to our care, Chase’s memory continues to remind us why this work matters: to honor the deep bonds we share with our animal companions, and to celebrate their lives with the dignity, respect, and love they deserve.
Chase Kane
May 3, 2010 – September 22, 2025
"We are endlessly grateful for the 15 wonderful years we shared with Chase. From the day we brought him home, he has been our happy, bold, and stubborn boy, from his ankle-biting puppy days to his final moments, tongue hanging out, true to form. Chase spent his last days doing what he loved most: relaxing on the couch with his brother Max, following the kids for every dropped snack, and soaking in all the love from his family. He lived each moment with joy and left us with countless memories and a lifetime of love."
