pet cremation services in
clarks summit, pENNSYLVANIA
I’m Lauren, and together with my husband, Chris, we founded Aspen Meadows Pet Cremation and Memorial Services in memory of our beloved German Shepherd, Aspen.
On June 17, 2025, Aspen comforted families at our funeral home for the very last time. Just hours later, we rushed him to the emergency veterinary clinic, where we learned he was suffering from a silent, aggressive, and terminal cancer. With shattered hearts, we made the agonizing choice to let him go.
When we left the clinic that night, we brought Aspen with us. We placed him gently into refrigeration at the funeral home because we couldn’t imagine leaving him behind without honoring the love he had given so freely. Aspen wasn’t just a pet; he was our therapy dog, our best friend, our steady companion, a member of our funeral home family, and a source of comfort to countless grieving hearts.
Saying goodbye to him reminded us that grief cannot, and should not, be rushed. It needs time, tenderness, and space to breathe. By bringing Aspen back into our care, by giving our family, staff, and even our other dog the chance to say goodbye, we discovered something we never thought possible: a measure of peace and control amid tragedy. That gift of time allowed us to mourn, to honor, and to begin the long process of healing together. From that painful farewell, Aspen Meadows was born—a promise that no person and no family should ever have to face the loss of a beloved pet without dignity, compassion, and care.

Our Mission
At Aspen Meadows, we believe what many of us have always known: pets ARE family. They are our children, our closest friends, and our confidants. With unwavering loyalty and unconditional love, they enrich our lives every day. Many would even say that the bond we share with our animal companions can be deeper and more profound than that with other humans. Yet, we welcome them into our hearts and homes, knowing their time with us is limited.
When that time comes, the loss can be devastating. End-of-life choices are readily available for humans, but what about for our animal companions? Where do we turn when we want to honor and memorialize them as we would a cherished family member?
At Aspen Meadows, we are dedicated to ensuring your companion is celebrated with the same dignity, respect, and love you would give to any human family member. Our service options are designed to help you honor, remember, and memorialize their life and the special bond you share.
